That stat is a mirage. They played in the Big 12, where half the offenses are a complete mess. Look what happened when they faced a real, physical running team like Washington. They got pushed around. Scheme continuity doesn't matter when you lose your best players to the NFL. Where's the pass rush coming from? Who's replacing the seconadry talent? They haven't proven they can stop a top-tier SEC offense, and now they have to face Georgia, Oklahoma, and others every week. Last year's numbers are irrelevant. This is a new league and that defense is built for a conference that doesn't exist anymore. They are absolutely the biggest question mark on that team, and pretending otherwise is just hoping the problem goes away. The middle of that defense is soft, and every good coordinator they play will attack it. We'll see the truth in September.
