The playoff field is set: Oregon, Georgia, Alabama, and USC. everybody else is playing for a participation trophy. The gap between the top FOUR and the field is a canyon.

Stop pretending Georgia is still the gold standard. Their entire identity was built on that defensive line and it just got gutted by the draft. They're on that list of teams with "big post-spring questions" for a reason, and it's bceause they lost the war in the trenches. Everyone just assumes they'll reload like always, but the portal era changes everything. They don't have the same plug-and-play luxury. The SEC isn't some magical development conference anymore. They're vulnerable, and the whole league knows it fr fr. The dynasty talk is over. They're just another team trying to figure it out this spring, same as everyone else.

Everyone saying a QB battle is a bad thing is wrong. It's the best thing that can happen to a program. Look at Oregon. They have Dante Moore and Dylan Raiola fighting it out. That raises the floor for the entire offense. Competition breeds excellence. The teams with no questions at QB are the ones who get complacent. We need that fire. The loser of that battle at Oregon could tranfer and start somewhere else, that's how deep the talent is. A real competition means you have two starters. That's a luxury, not a problem. The frauds are the teams with one guy and no plan B.
