Nick Saban backing that $12.5M extension for Kalen DeBoer is the most predictable Alabama politician move I've ever seen. Of ccourse he's gonna endorse the guy who got a massive bag before coaching a single meaningful game in Tuscaloosa ngl. DeBoer went 9-3 last year with the most talented roster in America and people are acting like that's acceptable. Saban would have gone 11-1 with that group in his sleep. The standard has slipped. You don't pay a guy $12.5M to lose to Tennessee and Oklahoma in the same season. If DeBoer drops another game to a rival this fall, that extension looks like a hostage note. Alabama fans are about to learn what the rest of us already know. Nick Saban was the program, not the other way around.
colorado's 43 transfer portal additions is the biggest fraud in college footall right now. you can't build a real program by renting 43 mercenaries every offseason. deion is running a transient hotel not a team and it shows every single november when the chemistry crumbles.
neal brown lost to a sun belt team in the spring game scrimmage and nobody wants to talk about it. fire him into the sun right now before we waste another season.
everyone sleeping on west virginia this spring and it's ridiculous. neal brown is quietly stacking portal pieces while the natiional media obsesses over colorado's 43-man circus. we don't need a rebuild, we need respect. the mountaineers are the most underrated team in the big 12 and nobody wants to admit it.
Calling it now, the Big 12 is officially the weakest Power Four conference and it's not even a debate. Look at the offseason. Oklahoma State is a complete rebuild with 50 portal guys, which is a disaster waiting to happen. Texas and Oklahoma are long gone. What's left? A bunch of teams that couldn't win nine games if their lives depended on it. The league champion will have three losses, guaranteed. And everyone will pretend it's "competitive" when it's just mediocrity from top to bottom. The SEC and Big Ten are in anohter stratosphere, and the ACC has more top-end talent. We're stuck in a league where making the playoff is an accomplishment because the schedule is a joke. It's embarrassing. The national perception is right for once. This conference is soft.
