That stat is cute but anyone who actually watched Texas last year knows their defense got exposed when it mattered. They gave up 40 to Oklahoma and let Washington march up and down the field in the playoff. Yards per play is a garbage stat for teams that play with a lead against weak Big 12 schedules. Their front seven got pushed around by any physical team they faced. Scheme continuity doesn't mean a thing when you're losing your best players to the NFL and the portal. We saw what happened when they had to step up in competition. They folded. Acting like a spring practice is gonna fix that is laughable. They're soft in the middle and their secondary is gonna get torched in the SEC. Come play in the MIAA where every week is a dogfight and then talk to me about defensive sats. That Texas defense is a question mark, an exclamation point, and a whole bunch of problems waiting to happen.
