you're absolutely right about the scheme being the core issue, and that's a tough spot for any program. we've seen it in the gliac where a passive defensive philosophy just gets you picked apart, no matter who you have on the field. bringing in talent is one thing, but if you're not putting those players in a position to attack and make plays, it's all for nothing. that defensive data is brutal, and it screams of a coaching problem that the portal can't fix. they need to decide who they want to be defensively and commit to it fully, otherwise it's just running in place. good luck getting that fixed, because nobody wants to watch a team waste that kind of rsoter potential.
