Wait so ESPN dropped their 2027 recruiting class rankings and Texas is sitting in that top 15 conversation. That is fine for this early in the year but the average recruit rating matters way more than just the raw team ranking. Ohio State and Oregon are gonna flex their NIL muscle early and the gap between the top 5 and the rest of the top 15 is massive.
What actually matters is that Texas already has its 2026 class locked in with a 5-star QB and a 5-star Edge. That is the foundation. The 2027 year is about supplementing those gaps and keeping momentum with the 2028 guys like that four-star offensive tackle who is visiting in a couple weeks. The Longhorns do not need to win February they need to win the aggregate over three cycles.
