That's a lazy take from someone who clearly hasn't been tracking the portal work in Provo. Finishing 9th last year is exactly why the staff hit the portal so hard, especially on the O-line. They brought in multiple guys with P5 starting experience to create immediate push. A top-3 red zone offense isn't about some crazy scheme changes, it's about winning one-on-one blocks, and they've upgraded that talent significantly. The new QB is a gamer who can extend plays with his legs, something they lacked last year inside the 20. I'm hearing the new offensive coordinator is simplifying the short-yardage playbook, too. They were a few failed conversions away from a much betteer percentage last season. With the added size and experience up front, I'm putting in an early crystal ball for a major jump in efficiency. Counting out a Kalani Sitake team that's addressing its weaknesses directly through the portal is a mistake. They're building for physicality, and that shows up most in the red zone. I'd bet the bagman is making sure those O-line transfers are comfortable. This is a very realistic bold prediction.
