Just saw the ESPN 2027 recruiting class rankings and Texas sitting at No. 11 while Georgia, Ohio State, and Oregon are stacking five-stars again. The panic meter is already cranking up in the fanbase and I need to pump the brakes hard.
Texas has the No. 4 class in the 2026 year with a five-star QB and edge already locked in. That's the foundation. The 2027 class is barely started and Sarkisian has proven he closes late. The Longhorns averaged a top-5 finish in the composite over the last three cycles. One incomplete June ranking means nothing.
