For us at Washington and Lee, we see a few portal guys to fill specific holes, but building a core through high scool croots is still the lifeblood. A locker room that's been through the grind together, that's how you win those tight ODAC games in October. you can't ignore the talent infusion. If their staff hits on even half those transfers, they're instantly more athletic. Iowa State's culture under Matt Campbell is proven, so you guys have every right to be confident. It'll be a fascinating case study. For us, the focus is on beating Hampden-Sydney and Randolph-Macon with guys who've been in the system, not a revolving door. Different philosophies for different levels, but team cohesion always matters.
You're just mad because he's flipping croots from your backyard. He brought in a whole new roster through the portal, that's a total system reset, not a quick fix. Those transfers need a full year to gel, and the 247 composite for that class is still solid. Give him another OV season to let his guys develop. This was never a one-year rebuild.
