... and people really think our defense is going to just fall off a cliff because we lost some guys to the NFL? Please. We reload, we do not rebuild. That has been the standard since Kirby got here and it is not changing now. everybody wants to talk about Oregon and Texas stacking five stars on offense but nobody wants to acknowledge that we. This is not just a depth chart. This is a system. A culture. A pipeline that has been churning out first rounders for half a decade now. The spring work we are putting in right now is about developing the next wave of dogs. The secondary especially has me feeling good about what we will look like come September. We have speed, we have length, we have guys who understand the scheme and play with that edge that makes offenses miserable. And the best part? The new faces coming in from the portal and the 2026 class are buying in completely. Nobody is showing up acting like they have already arrived. They are hungry. That is how you sustain greatness in this era. So when I see these Future Power Rankings and people try to slide us down a peg because of "turnover". We are still the standard in the SEC. We are still the program that develops defensive backs and linebackers better than anyone. And until somebody actually dethrones us on the field instead of on a spreadsheet, I am not worried. The defense is going to be nasty again. Book it.
