Saw Louis Riddick's list and he's got a couple of our guys on there. That's the standard now. Everyone wants to talk about Oregon's flashy offense, but our defense is quietly building another unit full of future pros. That secondary is going to be a problem for the whole Big Ten.
Riddick's list doesn't mean much until they prove it on the field. I remember when we had guys like Quintin Demps lighting people up, and that was earned. This new group hasn't faced a real test yet.
Louis Riddick knows ball, I'll give him that, but calling our defense "quietly building" is a joke. Quietly? We've been shouting it from the top of Autzen for years. Our defense isn't some new project, it's a factory. Kayvon Thibodeaux, Christian Gonzalez, Brandon Dorlus, they didn't just appear out of thin air. This secondary might be the best we've ever had, and calling them a "problem for the Big Ten" is the understatement of the century. They're going to be a nightmare. Every single week, some quarterback is going to regret stepping on the field against us. This isn't about being a sleeper unit anymore, this is about dominance. While other teams in the conference are trying to figure out how to stop a simple slant route. So yeah, put our guys on your list, put them at the top. It's where they belong. The standard at Oregon isn't just offense, it's complete football.
