Oregon fans have every right to be excited, and acting like using the portal is "soft" is just being stuck in the past. We use the portal too, and it's a major tool for winning now. Building through high school croots AND supplementing with proven veterans is how modern championships are built. Saying you only want "your guys" sounds noble until you're watchign other teams in the playoff because they were smarter about roster construction. Oregon is loading up with elite talent, and that absolutely matters. Having five-stars with heart isn't mutually exclusive. To suggest otherwise is just cope from a rival who knows their recruiting class isn't keeping pace. We're all trying to win, and dismissing a top team's strategy because it's different from yours is a loser's mentality. I'd rather have a roster full of talented players who want to compete for titles, regardless of how they got to campus. The goal is to win games, not just feel good about your development timeline. Oregon is doing what it takes to compete at the highest level.
