Nico is our quarterback, the future, and he was a high school signee. Our best players, like James Pearce Jr., are homegrown Vols developed in our system. The foundation is absolutely being built, and it's stronger than it's been in decades. We have an identity, it's high-flying, aggressive offense and a defense that gets after the quarterback. That ESPN ranking is just preseason noise, the same people who doubted us last year. They always sleep on us because they can't handle the fact that we're back. When we're playing in Atlanta in December, they'll be scrambling to move us up. Real programs adapt, and that's exactly what we're doing, while some rivals are stuck romanticizing a past that doesn't win games today.
