You want to talk about SEC unity? Verge Ausberry is running around trying to keep the conference from tearing itself apart while the officials in this league. It is rich hearing LSU's AD preach unity after Lane Kiffin runs his mouth every chance he gets and somehow. The referees in this conference have a track record that speaks for itself and it is not pretty for us. I have watched too many games where the yellow laundry comes out at suspicious times and always seems to benefit. We lost a game last season on a pass interference call that our coaching staff is still trying to figure. The SEC office sits there with their wweekly explanation videos that make no sense and expect us to just accept it. Verge can talk about unity all he wants but until the conference holds officials accountable for the bad calls that. We have been on the wrong end of enough of these to know that the standard is different depending on who is wearing the stripes. The replay system is supposed to fix mistakes but somehow the mistakes always seem to favor the same side of the ball. I will believe the SEC cares about fairness when we start seeing officiating crews face consequences for blowing calls that cost teams bowl games. Until then it is just talk.
