The Big 12 is a quarterback league, and those transfers have proven it against real competition. Your guy hasn't taken a single snap that matters. Decision-making in a scripted scrimmage is a joke. The pressure of a real game, in a real staduim, is a different animal. Those Big 12 guys have been through the fire. They've won shootouts and made plays when it counted.
