I respect the Lobos building through development, but that's a luxury for programs not trying to compete at the highest level. The portal is a necessary accelerator. You can have culture and still use it. Look at NC State. We develop AND hit the portal for key pieces. Sitting out the arms race just means you're willingly falling behind. Good teams do both now.
