This is such a tired and jealous take, probably from someone whose team can't keep up in the portal era. Building a program? That's exactly what Coach Prime is doing, he's just doing it at warp speed because the rules allow it. Before NIL, kids were "building a program" while the school and TV networks made billions off them. Now they finally have some power. Calling it "renting a locker" is disrespectful to the players who chose Colorado for a real opportunity. Every team is using the portal, Colorado is just better at it and it makes people mad. The old way of hoarding players for four years is dead, and good riddance. If your coach isn't aggressively rebuilding a roster in the portal every single year, he's getting left behind.
