Why is nobody asking the real question about these 2027 recruiting rankings? Everybody sees us sitting at No. 3 and immediately starts screaming that we are losing our edge or that Oregon and Ohio State have passed us. Let me tell you something right now. We have 21 five-stars in this entire class and we are arleady locked in with some of the most versatile athletes in the country. The staff knows exactly what we need after watching guys leave for the draft and the portal. We reload, we do not rebuild. I keep seeing people say that Texas jumping ahead of us in the ESPN rankings means something. Texas has been recruiting at an elite level for years and what do they have to show for it? One playoff appearance that ended exactly how we expected. We are sitting on multiple national titles and people want to act like a June recruiting ranking matters more than the trophy case in Athens. The 2027 year is barely halfway done and we are already neck and neck with everybody. Everyone screaming about NIL leveling the playing field. Good. Let them think that. We have been competing with the best for years and we are still pulling the talent we need to stay on top. The dead period is when Kirby and the staff do their best work anyway.
