Rutgers fans are getting way ahead of themselves talking about a top-half Big Ten finish based on recruiting rumors. We've seen this movie before. A couple of nice flips don't change the foundational issues in that program. They're celebrating maybe stealing one kid from a region that Penn State, Ohio State, and Michigan have owned for decades. Our staff under Fran Brown is building a wall around New York and diping into Jersey way more effectively than people realize. That "relentless" trail work they're bragging about? We're doing it better, with more credibility, and we actually have a developmental plan to back it up. Wisconsin's AD situation is a minor blip, they'll be just fine, and acting like that opens the door for Rutgers is pure fantasy. Their 2026 class was average at best, and one tight end isn't shifting the entire power balance of the league. We're the program on the real rise, locking down our backyard and pulling kids from everywhere. They can have their silent commits and domino theories. We'll be on the field beating them, like we always do.
