Program changers? Son, I've been watching this program since the days of Coach Braxton and the great John Stallworth. You don't build a program with three-star local kids you're "in a good spot with." You build it with four-year men who bleed maroon and white, the kind we had when we won the SWAC back in '06. This staff being "locked in" on high schol sophomores while the roster bleeds out the back door is a recipe for disaster. I remember when a commitment meant something. Now you just hope they don't get a better NIL offer from Jackson State or Florida A&M by the time they're seniors. We should be scouring that portal list for a couple of grown men who can help us right now, not dreaming about kids who haven't even taken their SATs yet. The game is won in the trenches, and you find those linemen in the junior college ranks or the portal, not by waiting on a teenager's growth spurt. This passive approach is how you finish fourth in the East. We need players who remember the Magic City Classic is a war, not a social media event.
