Man, this take reeks of someone whose program can't keep up with the modern game. We're building something special here, and guys like Zach Branch are proof that top talent wants to be Sun Devils. If he balls out for a couple seasons and goes pro early, that's a badge of honor for our development program. You're acting like the old bowl system was some pure amateur paradise, but it was just trapping players without NIL or real freedom. Now kids get to chase their dreams and get paid for their value on the way, and we get to watch elite players in Tempe. The legacy isn't in playing four years in some meaningless January bowl, it's in what you do for your university while you're here. Branch will leave a legacy by helping us win big games and showing the next five-star that ASU is the place to be. Your nostalgia is just jealousy that we're adapting and landing the guys who are too good to stick around for four years anywhere.
