Watched that ESPN under-the-radar list drop and immediately started refreshing the USC sectin because let me tell you something, if we lose another commit this summer I am gonna lose my mind. The decommitment watch is real right now and I have sources close to the program whispering about at least two guys who are getting heavy bumps from Big Ten schools trying to flip them before the dead period ends. You think Oregon stacking five 5-stars is bad enough, now we got Michigan and Penn State sniffing around our commits like they own the West Coast. I am watching the 247 composite like a hawk and I swear if that crystal ball starts swinging away from us on either of these guys I am gonna need a week to recover. The staff is doing everything they can, bringing them in for unofficial visits, working the bagmen angle, but the NIL arms race is getting brutal when these other programs can offer immediate playing time and a check that clears. We cannot afford another high-profile decommitment after losing that edge rusher last year. Our class ranking is already sitting outside the top 15 and every flip hurts the momentum heading into summer. The silence from some of these recruits is deafening and that is never a good sign in May. If we hold this thing together through the summer dead period I will consider it a win, but I am not holding my breath.
