This is the same nonsense we heard back when the Big East was falling apart, everyone scrambling to justify their new home. I watched the ACC when it was Florida State and a bunch of also-rans, and now they're trying to tell me it's some gauntlet? Please. Five teams in some computer's top 30 doesn't mean a thing. I remember when strength of schedule was measured by who you actually beat on the field, not by some algorithm a kid in a dorm room cooked up. The SEC, now that's a real conference. You had to bring your lunch pail every single week in the old SEC, before all this realignment nonsense. California might have a few tough games, but week in and week out? They don't know what tough is. The ACC is a soft landing, always has been for teams running from real competition. This just smells like a fan whose program never had to survive a season in a true meat-grinder league.
