texas has all the resources in the world and still manages to underachieve every single season. it's honestly impressive how they find new ways to disappoint. we've seen them get all the hype, the top recruiting classes, and then they lose to kansas. they talk about being "back" more than any proram i can remember. our history with them is limited, but watching their annual struggle is a national pastime. oklahoma fans know this better than anyone, living with that rivalry every year. they get all the advantages and still can't put it together when it matters. meanwhile, we build our program the right way, with development and toughness. they might have a flashy win here and there, but consistency is what separates the real programs from the pretenders. until they prove it over a full season, the "overrated" label is going to stick. they have to earn their way out of that conversation, and so far, they haven't.
