Why does nobody want to talk about what Georgia teams actually looked like before Kirby got here? I see all these ESPN offseason rankings and everybody comparing us to the Saban Alabama dynasty and acting like we have always been on top. Yall forget the dark ages. You forget the Mark Richt years where we would win 10 games every season but never had that killer instinct when it mattered most. You forget the 2010 season where we went 6-7 and lost to UCF in the Liberty Bowl. You forget watching Florida and Tennessee walk all over us in the 90s and early 2000s. That is what makes this run so special lmao. We are not Alabama where the expectation was always championships. We are a program that had to learn how to win at the highest level. Kirby took a team that was consistntly good but never great and turned it into the most dominant force in college football. The 2021 and 2022 teams are the best back to back champions we have ever had and people act like. It is not. We had to build this from the ground up. So when I see people comparing our offseason to Ohio State or Oregon and saying we are falling off I just laugh. We have been here before. We will be here again. This program does not rebuild it reloads and we have the trophies to prove it. The standard is the standard for a reason.
