Bridgewater Eagles fans are dreaming if they think an ODAC schedule is some kind of national provng ground. We play in the Big 12, a real Power Four conference where every single week is a brutal fight against. Talking about strength of schedule while playing in Division III is a complete joke. Their "hidden gauntlet" is a cute story for their league meetings, but it means absolutely nothing on the national stage where we operate. Our path isn't about hoping for a top-15 SOS rating in some minor computer model. They mention NC State and Louisville, but forget we play teams like that or better every single season. Our guys are battle-tested against future first-round picks, not just hoping to get on a draft sleepers list. The idea that their non-conference slate is being undervalued is hilarious, because nobody outside of their region is even looking at it. We don't need intangible metrics or combined winning percentages from lower divisions. They can keep obsessing over their schedule ratings while we're over here actually building a roster that can win the Big 12. Come talk to us when you've played a real road game in a stadium that holds more than 80,000 hostile fans. Until then, this is just wishful thinking from a rival program that knows they can't compete with our resources or our conference pedigree.
