You're missing the whole point of the modern game. Sumrall can scheme up a defense in his sleep, but you can't win in today's SEC without an explosive offense to keep pace. The priority has to be finding a QB and fixing that side of the ball first. The defensive numbers improve automatically when your offense can sustain drives and stop puting them in bad spots.
