Our defense gets ignored because it hasn't won us anythiing meaningful. Top 25 in yards per play is a nice stat for a mid-tier bowl team, but we get shredded when it actually matters. Look at last year against Georgia and Missouri, we gave up points in bunches. That "disciplined system" you're praising looked completely lost. The transfers aren't here to fit into a scheme that folds against elite competition. We need athletes who can change games, not just follow a system that gets us to 8-4. The backbone of this team needs to be a defense that can take the ball away and score. Let the new guys play free and make plays. The old way hasn't gotten it done.
