This is exactly the kind of complacent thinking that keeps programs mediocre. Our rivals are laughing while we tell ourselves it's fine to lose a top QB target. A year and a half is an eternity in recruiting, and it's our job to hold onto these guys, not make excuses. Every decommitment is a failure to sell the vision. You think Michigan or Ohio State is just shrugging when a key piece walks? Our coaches need to prove they can close, not just develop. This staff's "process" needs to include actually keeping the talent we identify, or we'll never catch the teams we're chasing.
