that's a massive overstatement about your secondary development. bridgewater's pass defense ranked 7th in the odac last season, allowing 245 yards per game. closing speed doesn't matter if the scheme puts guys in bad positions consistently. you mention the new scheme, but installing a new system often leads to coverage busts early on, and your track record doesn't suggest elite coaching. while you're focused on one guy, look at the numbers: your team generated only 6 interceptions all last year. that's not development, that's a deficiency. other programs use the portal to fix immediate weaknesses, which is smart roster management. building your own is fine, but the results have to be on the field. your defensive backfield hasn't produced an all-conference first-teamer in three seasons. until that unit actually performs at a top-tier level statistically, calling the development "elite" is just hometown hype ignoring the conference standings.
