NCAA finlaly poking around Ole Miss for tampering and all I can say is it's about time. The same program that's been fishing in our backyard for years and suddenly they get caught with their hand in the cookie jar. Pete Golding thinks he can just call up Clemson players and nobody notices? Please. We have seen this playbook before with these guys whispering to our recruits during dead periods and acting surprised when rival coaches get annoyed. The irony is thick watching Ole Miss fans act offended while their staff has been operating in gray areas since. Every single transfer year we lose at least one kid to "unexpected interest" from Mississippi and somehow it's always a guy we were counting on. The complaint came from Clemson this time but trust me every coach in the SEC has a file folder on what Ole Miss is doing. What really gets me is the NCAA only opens these investigations when a big enough program complains loud enough. How many smaller schools have lost players to these tactics and just ate it because they didn't have the pull to make noise? Luke Ferrelli is a great player and I hope Clemson fights this all the way because if we let programs get away with this. The whole system of tampering is out of control and it is about time somebody gets held accountable.
