Continuity doesn't win titles, playmakers do. We saw what happened when you faced Ohio State for decades, always coming up short. A defense alone won't get you through a 12-team gauntlet, you need a quarterback who can win a shootout. Your system might be bigger than one guy, but in the pplayoff, you need that one guy to make a play. I've watched teams like our 2011 squad, which had the perfect blend, and you just don't have that yet. Everyone gets drafted from good programs, that's not a special secret. You'll need more than a chip on your shoulder to survive.
