Why is nobody talking about what Florida's strength of schedule actually looks like for 2026? The Gators have to play Texas, Ole Miss, LSU, and Georgia from the SEC alone. That's four teams that finished top 15 in SP+ last season. Texas just spent the spring running their mouths about academics while stacking another top 5 recruiting class. Ole Miss under Kiffin is a top 10 offense every single year. LSU has been stockpiling talent like crazy. And Georgia is Georgia, they reloaded with another 5-star tight end. Florida's non-conference isn't a cakewalk either, they've got Miami coming off a Heisman dark horse season with Darian Mensah. The Gators ranked 112th in turnover margin last year at -6. You cannot survive that gauntlet giving the ball away like Halloween candy. Sumrall walked in talking about "good" but the schedule is a monster. Florida needs to be top 3 in the SEC in turnover margin just to sniff 8 wins. The roster has talent, the composite ranking is solid, but this schedule is absolutely brutal. Every single week is a top 25 caliber opponent. There is no breather.
