So ESPN dropped the 2027 recruiting class rankings and I need someone to explain to me how Florida is not getting more respect in the early year. The Gators have a brand new coaching staff selling a $1.45 billion stadium renovation and the Swamp is about to become the most state of the art facility in college football history. That alone should be pulling in top 10 classes. But I scroll through the top 25 and I see programs like Texas Tech and Cal sitting ahead of Florida in the early rankings. Texas Tech. With all due respect to Lubbock that is not a better recruiting situation than what Billy Napier or whoever the new guy is can offer at Florida. The Gators have SEC access, the best weather for January enrollees, and now a renovation that makes the stadium look like an NFL franchise. The 2027 year is still wide open and Florida has plenty of time to climb. But if the staff does not start flipping some of these blue chip prospects off the board in the next few months, Florida Gators are going to be looking at another year where the Gators finish behind Georgia and Texas A&M in their own conference. The talent is there in state. The facilities are about to be unmatched. Now go prove it on the trail.
