Why is nobody talking about our 2027 recruiting class ranking compared to what we are building on defense specifically? I keep seeing Oregon with five 5-stars and everybody loses their minds. Cool. Great. Good for them. But look at who we are bringing in on the defensive side of the ball. We are sitting at No. 3 in the ESPN rankings and the narrative is that we are somehow slipping when half our class is projected. People forget that we reload on defense every single year. We have been doing it since the 2021 natty. The portal era has everybdy obsessed with flashy offensive skill players and quarterbacks but we are quietly stacking bodies in the trenches. The 2027 class we are putting together right now has the kind of length and physicality that our defensive staff. We are not chasing five-star wide receivers who will transfer after one season. We are building a wall. And you know what? The media keeps trying to push this narrative that the SEC is losing its grip on recruiting because Oregon and. But we are still sitting in the top three while developing kids who actually fit our system. We do not need 21 five-stars to win championships. We need the right guys who buy into what we are doing on the defensive side of the ball. And right now we are getting exactly those guys.
