Just sat here reading that ESPN breakdown of all 21 five-stars in the 2027 class and I gotta say I am watching the crystal ball movement on a few of these kids and it is giving me life. Our staff has been flying under the radar in the 247 composite but I know for a fact we are hosting multiple top-50 overall prospects this summer for OVs and the buzz is real. People sleep on what Lincoln Riley can sell when he walks into a living room with that Heisman history and says "it's time" like he just told ESPN. That quote is gonna be wallpaper in every recruit's group chat.
Now the real question is can we actually close on these five-star targets when Oregon is sitting there with five of them already in the 2026 class and Georgia is stockpiling elite TEs like they are collecting infinity stones. The NIL game has leveled the playing field but our bagmen need to step up because I am seeing some of these 2027 kids take visits to places that historically were not in the conversation and we cannot afford to get outspent in our own backyard. The staff needs to lock down at least two of these 21 names before the early signing period or we are gonna be playing catch-up in the Big Ten for years.
