The NIL era killed home-state loyalty. The numbers are wild:
🏈 FLORIDA: 75% → 36%
🏈 CALIFORNIA: 61% → 22%
🏈 TEXAS: 52% → 53%
Early 2000s, Florida was a fortress. Wilfork, McGahee, Bryant McFadden all stayed home. Cali had the entire Pete Carroll dynasty Reggie Bush, Leinart, Sedrick Ellis, all USC.
Now? Georgia raids Florida. Oregon raids Cali.
Only Texas kids still ride for Texas.
NIL turned recruiting into free agency...
What do y'all have to say why are Texas kids so loyal?
