This is the same tired argument we heard back when the SEC was dominating and everyone wanted to dismiss our strength of schedule. I remember when people said the same thing about the Big 12 in the late 2000s, and then they'd come to a BCS bowl and get exposed. You think a conference with Ohio State, even in a transition year, is weak? That progrma has more tradition in its pinky finger than most. They'll reload, they always do, just like Nebraska used to. And calling Michigan a ghost after one coaching change shows you weren't around for the Schembechler and Carr eras. Those programs are institutions. As for an easy schedule, every league has its bottom feeders. I watched the SEC in the 80s when Vanderbilt and Kentucky were automatic wins every single year, but nobody called the whole conference a fraud. This new generation of fans thinks football started with the playoff. Respect is earned in November and in bowl games, not in hot takes in August. We'll see who's standing when the leaves turn.
