Auburn's 7-5 record last season and 3-5 conference mark is why they're unranked. Their offense averaged just 5.4 yards per play, which ranked 90th nationally. Ole Miss and A&M both finished with better records and higher SP+ ratings. Until they show consistency, especially on the road, preseason lists are justified.
