I've been watching the crystal balls on this one for three weeks now and the pattern is getting real obvious. Every time a recruit from our 2026 class takes an OV to another Big Ten program, suddenly there's "noise" about them being a silent commit somewhere else. The dead period is when these flips happen because the bagmen go quiet and the real relationships get tested lol. We have three soft commits right now who haven't posted anything about USC in over a month. That's the tell. When a kid stops reposting the hype graphics and the welcome to the familly tweets, your rivals already know before the crystal ball flips. I remember last year when we lost that 4-star edge rusher to Oregon in June. everybody acted shocked but I was watching his Instagram story daily. He stopped wearing USC gear in his posts. He started following Oregon assistants. The writing was on the wall. Now I'm seeing the same pattern with one of our top-200 commits. He took an OV to a school that just landed a 5-star at his position and somehow that's supposed to make him more secure? No. That means they're stacking depth and he's either competing for snaps or getting pushed out. The 247 composite has us sitting top 10 but the real story is how many of those points are from kids who haven't visited campus since last fall. You can have a top-5 class in April and watch it crumble by August if you don't lock down the relationships. Our staff needs to be on the phone every single day with these families. Not just the croots. The parents. The high school coaches. The trainers. Because when another program offers a bag that changes a family's life, the only thing keeping that commit is the relationship. I'm hearing from sources close to the program that two of our commits are getting heavy pressure from SEC programs who missed on their primary targets. One of them is a kid we flipped from a rival last year. Flip candidates are always the easiest to flip back because they already proved they'll change their mind. That's the danger zone. We need to get these guys on campus for the summer workouts and let them feel the culture. Because right now the silence is getting loud.
