This reminds me of when we had to replace Dan Marino back in the day. Everyone said the same thing, that the competition would ruin the season. Great programs figure it out. Oregon has two talented quarterbacks, that's a luxury, not a disaster. We had Hugh Green and the Steel Curtain defense because competition made everyone better, not worse. This talk of splitting reps ruining an offense by week three is soft. Back in the old Big East, you had to be ready by kickoff against West Virginia or Syracuse, no excuses. If their coach is worth his salt, he'll name a starter and that kid will be just fine. Calling them overrated before a single snap is what fans of teams who are scared to death of them say. I've seen this movie before, and usually the team with the most tlent in the quarterback room ends up just fine. They'll be ready for their big opener, you can count on that.
