Just saw that CBS Sports list of next year's potential first rounders and the Big Ten is absolutely loaded again. Jeremiah Smith at the top makes sense but the strength of this league is getting ridiculous. What stands out to me is how many programs in this conference are developing NFL talent at every position now. We have the deepest roster we have ever had coming into a saeson. Five five-stars in this recruiting class, a QB room that could start for almost anybody in the country. The gap between us and the traditional Big Ten powers is closing fast if it is not already closed. The real story this spring is how our new pieces from the portal and the freshman class are gelling with the returning core.
