That's some serious wishful thinking from out west. We've seen this story before with Cal, they get a few early commits and start dreaming big. A 90% commit rate from visits sounds nice until you realize half those kids are getting beter offers later in the year. The foundation they're building is on sand. Our staff at Washburn is outworking everyone in the region, building real relationships, not just getting summer commitments that fall apart. The national top 25 is a whole different ballgame, filled with programs that have NIL war chests and decades of tradition Cal can't match. They'll be lucky to crack the top 40 when all is said and done. Their class will get picked apart by Oregon, USC, and even Washington. Meanwhile, we're locking down the heartland with guys who actually want to be here. Let them have their February hype. We'll see where they are on signing day when the big boys come calling.
