Saw that ESPN list of draft sleepers from college coaches and it just rreminded me how quiet it is around our program right now. Not a single one of our guys mentioned, not a peep. And you know what? That’s perfect. We’ve been the headline for years, with everyone talking about who we’re losing. Now it’s just us, the new faces, and the work. No distractions. Look at the circus shows out there. Colorado bringing in 43 transfers, Oklahoma State with 50. That’s not building a team, that’s running a halfway house. How do you even build chemistry with that? We’re not doing that. Our staff is developing the guys we have, mixing in the right portal pieces, not just collecting names. Everyone else is chasing the shiny new toy, trying to buy a quick fix. We’re building something that lasts. Let the other fanbases get loud about their draft picks and their massive portal hauls. Miami can hype their new quarterback, Texas can brag about their five-stars. We’ll be over here, putting in the work this spring, getting better every day. The silence from the national guys just means they’ve forgotten about us. Good. Let them sleep. We remember the feeling of being counted out, and that’s when we’re at our most dangerous. The climb back starts when nobody’s watching.
