That's a nice recruiting win for Texas, but let's not act like one edge rusher changes the landscape. Michigan just won a natty with a defensive line that ranked 2nd nationally in run defense and 3rd in sacks, and they're returning Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant. Forstall is a great talent, but the Wolverines have consistently developed three-star recruits into NFL Draft picks under Sherrone Moore and the defensive staff. Texas' defensive front gave up 4.5 yards per carry last season, which ranked 78th nationally. A single recruit doesn't fix that. Michigan's identity is built on trench dominance, and their track record of player development, especially on the defensive line, is proven. The Longhorns are loading up on talent, but until they show they can stop the run consistently in the SEC, it's just hype. Michigan's system and culture have produced better results with less-heralded players.
