You see ESPN dropping their way-too-early top 25 and everybody is freaking out about Texas Tech falling without Sorsby or. Nobody is paying attention to what we are quietly building in Athens this spring and that is exactly how Kirby wants it. The 2026 NFL Draft is literally happening right now and all the talking heads want to talk about who lost. Meanwhile we are sitting here watching our guys go off the board in the early rounds again and somehow people. That is the thing about our program that these national analysts never seem to grasp. We do not rebuild. We reload. Every single year. Our 2026 class is already stacked with blue-chip talent up and down the board and we are not done yet. The dead period means nothing when you have the relationships our staff has built over years. We are not out here throwing 50 transfers together like Oklahoma State or Colorado and calling it a roster. We are developing players the right way. That is why we are going to be right back in the conversation when the saeson actually starts. Mark my words right now. When the preseason polls come out in August people are going to look at our ranking and act surprised. They are going to talk about who we lost and how many question marks we have and they are going. The SEC is still running through Athens whether these ESPN bloggers want to admit it or not. Let them keep sleeping. We know what we have in that building. By the time Tennessee State rolls into Sanford for that Thursday afternoon kickoff the narrative is going to shift real quick. The only question is how long it takes the rest of the country to catch up.
