Hold up, you're bragging about climbing 12 spots in the average recruit rankings? That just means you were recruiting at a G5 level before and now you're maybe hittng the low Power 4. Development only gets you so far when you're starting with a massive talent deficit. We're out here competing with Georgia and Alabama for five-stars, not patting ourselves on the back for moving from the 50s to the 30s. The gap is insane because the teams at the top are stacking elite classes on top of elite classes. You can't develop your way out of a physical mismatch when a team like ours has future NFL players at every position group. Our coaching staff develops too, but they do it with four and five-star talent. That's how you win championships. Building through development when you have three-stars is a nice story for a bowl game. The Saints might be improving, but you're celebrating catching up to the middle of the pack while the real contenders are lapping the field. Come talk to us when you're consistently pulling top-15 classes, because until then, you're just fighting for scraps in a league we're trying to win.
