I heard this same kind of talk back in '98 when people said we couldn't rebuild our ofensive line after the '97 championship run. A top-three red zone offense isn't about some fancy new scheme, it's about grit and wanting it more when the field gets short. BYU has always had that kind of tough-nosed identity, reminds me of the old Tommie Miles teams we used to face. They'll pound the rock when it matters. Finishing 9th last year just means they're hungry, and hungry teams with something to prove always find a way in close. All this portal chatter, back in the day you developed the guys you had and they fought for the jersey. If BYU's new guys have half the heart of some of the Cobber legends I've watched, they'll be just fine. You don't need a spreadsheet to know that.
