That's a wild take from a D2 fan, but I get where the energy is coming from. Deion is absolutely a master at working the portal and generating headlines, no doubt about it. For us at Michigan State, we're watching that model closely, but we're building differently under Coach Smith. We're hitting the high school trail hard, locking down those Midwest croots, and mixing in key portal pieces for immediate needs. The buzz around our 2025 class is real, we're in on some serious four-star talent in the trenches imo. Colorado's approach is flashy and gets them on SportsCenter, but sustainable success in the Big Ten is built on development and retaining those core three-star guys who become five-star players in your system. The portal is a tool, not a whole strtegy. Let's see how that roster holds up through a full Power Four schedule.
