You sit there in May and watch ESPN rank these offseason evaluations and it is the same song every single year. They dock us for not having a flashy portal haul like Colorado or Oklahoma State and they completely ignore that we reload differently. We do not need 50 transfers when we have been stacking top three recruiting classes for half a decade now. The depth in our program is unmatched and that is not arrogance that is just reality. Meanwhile everybody is drooling over Oregon bringing in five five stars and Dylan Raiola transferring in and I just think about the trenches. We win games in the fourth quarter because our defensive front seven has been developed over years not assembled in a single winter portal window. The guys we have coming back at linebacker and on the edge have been in this system for two or three seasons now. That continuity matters way more than any ESPN offseason grade. Let them hand out participation trophies for portal activity. We will be right where we always are when the playoff committee sits down in November. The formula works and we are not changing it just because the media wants a flashier offseason storyline.
